You may receive requests from friends who want to add you to their friend list. When you receive such a request, you can accept the request, accept and add that friend to your friend list, or you can deny the request.
To accept a friend, reply to the SMS with the message "y".
You will receive confirmation with the message: "Friend [Yahoo! ID] added to Friends Group".
To accept and add your friend to your friend list, reply to the SMS with the message "a".
You will receive confirmation with this message:
"Friend [Yahoo! ID] added to Friends Group".
Your friend will receive a message as shown in the screenshot alongside.
If you want to deny that request, reply to the SMS with the message "d".
You will receive confirmation with the message:
"[Yahoo! ID] has been denied."
The user who sent the authorisation request will receive this message:
"[Yahoo! ID] denied your request to be added to your friend list."
You may receive messages from Yahoo! users who are not on your Friend List. You can 'ignore' these users by replying on the mobile phone to the user's message with the command "ignore". You will receive a confirmation message that the user has been ignored.
NB. To 'undo' ignore you must go to the PC version, select "Preferences", then select "Privacy" and remove the user's Yahoo! ID from your Ignore List.
