To send a message to your friends' mobile, click on the Text button to open the window that allows you to send the message.

In case you have stored the number of your friend, then choose the same from the drop down menu. In case you are sending a message to a number that is not stored, then enter the mobile number, with the country code.

Type your message in the text box below. Click Send, to send the message.

If your friend's phone is on and they reply to your message, it will appear directly in the message window.

Sending an SMS from the Yahoo! Messenger is free. But your friend who responds to the SMS sent by you will be charged the standard cost for an SMS.
