To download a picture message, compose a SMS with these contents:

Send the message to 8243. You will recieve the requested picture message on your phone (see compatible handsets). Select 'save' to save the downloaded picture message on your phone.

The recipient can be anyone using a compatible handset, irrespective of the operator, anywhere in the world. However, you must compose the SMS on an Orange(Mumbai), Hutch(Delhi, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Kolkata, Gujarat), Oasis(Rajasthan), RPG (Chennai) or Escotel (Uttar Pradesh (west), Haryana, Kerala) phone. The handset on which you compose the SMS need not be a compatible handset. It can be any handset supporting SMS.
To send a picture message to an international number, include the full country code/area code(excluding the '00'), prepended with a '+'. For instance to send a picture message to a friend in the UK(country code '44'), your screen would look like this:

Send the message to 8243. The requested picture message will be sent to the recipients mobile number.

How much does a Picture Message Cost?

Yahoo! does not charge the consumer anything. The mobile operators charge for this as follows:
Orange: Rs. 3 per picture message downloaded (including the cost of the request SMS)
Hutch: Rs. 3 per picture message downloaded (including the cost of the request SMS)
Oasis: Rs. 3 per picture message downloaded (including the cost of the request SMS)
Escotel: Rs. 3 per picture message downloaded (including the cost of the
request SMS)
RPG: Rs. 3 (post-paid) per picture message downloaded (including the cost of the
request SMS)
